Franco Pace
In 1989 Franco Pace started to create a line of posters with sailing and sea images that were appreciated by boating lovers. The number of subjects grew rapidly and after a few years it was possible to bring them together in this volume.

Franco Pace
The growing interest in the preservation of maritime heritage has also involved enthusiasts of a more modest but fascinating category, the old work boats. This volume compares the different traditional boats of various countries, once used for fishing and for transport but today mainly for leisure.

The subtitles of the different editions of this volume describe the contents of the book. They all agree in rating the hulls designed by William Fife among the most elegant and best built of the time. There could be no better presentation for this volume!

Each shot records a fraction of a second and keeps in itself the memory of that moment. Reviewing that image, even after a long time, everything comes back to your mind, and the more photos you see the more details came back to memory. If there are a few more photos in the archive, the mosaic of memories is completed down to the smallest detail.

The J-Class yachts were designed to compete in the 1930s America’s Cup challenges. Since then they are considered the Queens of the sea and have kept their charm unchanged. Three hulls designed and built by the British are the only “original” survivors of this Class, but in the 2000s, new replicas of some J Class yachts were built based on the original drawings of the 1930s. The result is a Today’s J Class, again full of energy!
